K9.5 Training Academy

Frequently Asked Questions

Yes! At K9.5, we do allow for co-boarding from the same family as long as the owner approves of it. We may, at any time, separate family dogs into separate kennels, based upon temperaments and feeding requirements.

No, our kennel technicians only take family dogs out together for potty and play time. Doggie day play is a potential add-on for non-aggressive dogs. This is only $20 a day when added to boarding. Your pup can interact and play with other dogs for up to 4 hours during the day. See our Doggie Day Play section for more information.

Please bring food and any toys and treats that you wish. We provide K9 Ballistic beds and bowls for all of our overnight guests.

Our kennel technicians let out dogs four times a day: morning, noon, evening, and before bed.

No. Of course during let out times, most dogs love to talk and say hi, but when let outs are over, the dogs are quiet and able to listen to the soothing music of Dog TV on YouTube or other dog shows.

Absolutely, we love to meet new clients and their dogs to help ease the jitters. We are always able to give tours during our business hours.

We at K9.5 do have indoor and outdoor cameras for the K9.5 owners to watch 24/7. We prefer to take and send pictures of your dog while boarding. As we have experienced with our own family dogs, when you are away and have access to watch your dog, that may be the only thing you want to do. We love for our owners to relax and not feel as if they have to always watch the camera.
